Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

God’s love is unconditional.

God’s love is very different from the love we experience with one another because it is not based on feelings. He doesn't love us because we please him. He loves us simply because He is love. Love is not merely an attribute of God – it is his very nature.

So, if God is love and we are born of God, then we will also love. God loves us and we must live in love toward God and others.

Loving God, I want your love to be displayed in my life. Please bless me as I seek to follow Jesus' example in treating others with love. Amen
