Daily Bible Verse About Easter Sunday - Bible Time - Bible Verses
Matthew 28:5-6
The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.”
Key Thought
On Resurrection Sunday, we reach the conclusion of Holy Week. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the most important event, you might say, of the Christian faith. Early Sunday morning Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Jesus went to the tomb and discovered that the large stone covering the tomb's entrance had been rolled away. An angel told them that Jesus had rose from the dead, just as he said would happen. The women hurried away afraid, yet filled with joy.
Jesus is risen!
We can find joy and hope that our Savior and Redeemer has victory over death. We should not be filled with fear of what will happen to us here on this earth. Instead we should be filled with the joy of what we are promised at Christ’s return. If we put our faith and belief in Jesus, then His resurrection means that we will not be devastated by death, but will live forever in the holy presence of God in a glorious fellowship with Him.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, remove all fear from my life. I want to follow You with complete faith in my heart, free of all fear and full of joy. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
